Through a resolution, published today Official Gazette, the Government encouraged the participation of Argentina in the "World Summer Games for people with intellectual disabilities", which begin in June in Greece.

185 nations participating sporting event. The government declared of national interest the participation of a delegation of Argentina in the "World Summer Games for people with intellectual disabilities", which evelop in late June in the city of Athens, Greece.
The measure was released today in the Official Gazette by
resolution 546/2011.
The request was submitted by "Special Olympics New Argentina," a civil non-profit organization that through sport "facilitates the integration into society of people with intellectual disabilities throughout the country."
The international sporting event will bring together 7500 athletes from 185 nations in 22 Olympic-type sports, 3000 and 2500 volunteer referees, plus thousands of families, spectators and journalists from around the world.

The delegation will consist of 15 special athletes, 5 technicians and a chief of delegation, participating in athletics, equestrian, gymnastics, swimming and skate race.
